Hi, sorry if this is already been asked, but I couldn't find it in the message board.
I used to love Carmen Sandiego computer games, the game show, and the animated series. My favorite Carmen Sandiego products of all time, though, were these "audio game" cassette tapes (they may have been available on CD, too) from 1993.
They are both just called "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego audio games" and the first is "Episode 1: The Case of the Unsolved Crime" and the second is "Episode 2: The Case of the Mysterious Case." They were put out by BMG Music, Zoom Express, Fight Records.
I still listen to these every so often. They are extremely funny and unique! My question is, there's a little blurb on the 2nd tape jacket that says that "Episode 3: The Case of the Illegal Activity" is "coming soon." I can't find ANYTHING about this online! Does anyone know if it or any more of these were ever made? Thank you!
;D

Hmm. I looked on Amazon and found just the first 2 you mentioned.
I had never heard these tapes either. I noticed one is up for sale though.

Oh yeah...I ACTUALLY have those!
So does Erin, after he played them in the car during one of our road trips...I had to get my own ;-) Hmm, yeah, at the end of the last tape there is talk of a third one, but I don't actually think they ever came out with it. Wait. let me see if I can get him to put a quote up from one of them...it's one of my favs...
Stan Packer (the detective): Okay, Moniker, how did you know where I was going?
Santo Moniker (a mysterious individual): Oh, please, Mr. Packer. One hears things. One reads the New York Times, one watches CNN, one intercepts top secret governmental satellite feeds, one practices mental telepathy, one channels the spirit of a three thousand year old Macedonian shepherd named Tony. (Voice changes) "The universe is, in reality, a giant sheep." (normal voice) A parlor trick, but occasionally useful.
Stan: What's your game, Moniker?
Moniker: Any game featuring the pop o matic dice.

I have the second tape and I can literally recite the whole thing, I loved it so much when I was younger. But I have tried for years now to find the first tape ("The case of the unsolved crime") and have been entirely unsuccessful. Does anyone know where I might find one?

Hey there. Sorry to dig up this old thread, I hope there's someone here who can help me. I found this page though google. I am desperate to get my hands on one of these tapes, just the recording really. Episode 2 is on Amazon but it doesn't ship to my country (Australia) Would anyone be able to record the tapes to mp3 and upload them? Or sell the tapes to me. Thank you !!!

I just snagged episode 1 on eBay, and I've placed an interlibrary loan request for episode 2. Kind of doubt it'll be fulfilled, but we can only try.
Download of episode 1 is here: https://mega.co.nz/#!PgJmmAwI!v_rW4sDl98AkMHcerTPOiUeA-F_CSdyuGD-yK7x0sEI
